This course Introduces you to the tactical considerations of utilizing your handgun for personal defense in a low light environment. Commonly used handheld flashlight techniques, types of lights, weapon mounted lights, use of cover, handgun manipulations specific to low light, movement, verbal commands, target identification, night sights vs non-illuminated sights discussion, varied lighting conditions and light discipline. Pistol mounted weapons light or handheld flash lights are a must.
Prerequisites:
Successful completion of Defensive Pistol 1
Required Gear:
Handgun "preferably your your EDC or Duty weapon
Kydex holster
At least 3 magazines (more if low capacity)
Mag carrier for 2 mags
500+ rounds of ammo (or bring what you can & scale back round count per drill as necessary. additional ammo is recommended as round counts fluctuate per class)
2 Handheld flashlights (primary and backup)
Spare batteries
Sturdy belt
Eye and ear protection
Brimmed Hat
Weather appropriate clothing (rain, sleet or snow we’re training)
Water, lunch, snacks. We will do a working lunch on the range
Suggested Equipment:
Pistol mounted weapon lights highly recommended if you run one as apart of your EDC or are thinking about one
Spare pistol
Knee pads
Individual First Aid Kit “IFAK”
Travel chair
Sunscreen
Note pad & pen
*A range fee of $25, separate from the registration cost, is required in cash the morning of your class. All other fees and target costs are included with registration cost. Please reach out if you have any questions.
