Once upon a time another business owner believed in me, and I was handed keys to 168 Keawe St. Suite D. Downtown Hilo. The grand opening was First Friday September 2015.
Now the gallery has relocated to
760 Kilauea Ave Hilo HI 96720, next to Hilo Burger Joint.
To date, The Exhibit Gallery has supported 170 artists & 120 First Fridays!

Andi Astra, also known as Spooky Girl, is a multidisciplinary artist and designer originally from Detroit, Michigan, now based in Hawaii. They are known for their sci-fi and alien-centric art, which explores themes of nonconforming identity, the ethereal, and the boundaries of reality. Astra's work often features extraterrestrials, robots, and other elements reflecting a sense of otherness.
Artistic Career:
Astra began creating art as Spooky Girl in 2015.
They are known for their psychedelic, sci-fi inspired style.
Their work explores themes of identity, femininity, and feelings of otherness.
Astra creates art for musicians, universities, companies, and individuals worldwide.
They also run Spooky Girl's storefront and are building the brand.
Astra is passionate about helping other artists find their footing in the professional world.
They also created the Outer Rim Collective, an LGBTQ+ artist collective.

Astra met their partner, Nikko, in Hawaii.
They currently reside on the island of Big Island.
Astra finds inspiration in the natural beauty and textures of the islands.
They have been featured in Out Front Magazine, Forbes, and other publications.
