On December 13 during the annual Christmas Market, Hillsboro Arts League will dedicate its mural near Covington and Franklin streets.

"We are excited about this vibrant and welcoming mural," said Cheryl Moniz, president of Hillsboro Arts League. "David Handy's vision has brought color and energy to that corner of downtown." Anyone who helped make the mural reality is invited to attend and be honored for their participation.

The mural was made possible by a grant from Dorothy Gaines Foundation and individual donations. Hillsboro Arts League is a 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to promote the arts and artists in the Hillsboro area. Its gallery is located at 54-A West Elm Street; it is open most Fridays and Saturdays. New members interested in the arts (all types) or pursuing the arts are welcome. Information is available at www.hillsborotxarts.org.
