- **Event Description**: The Aliver Foundation in partnership with Hightstown, will host a family-friendly community celebration event at Association Park on Sunday, June 28th from 11:00am-12:00pm to dedicate highly visible, bright yellow, all-weather, climate-controlled AED equipment.

The event will offer something for all ages, including children’s activities, an interactive CPR/AED demonstration by the Hightstown First Aid Squad, opportunities to meet first responders from the Hightstown Police Department, Hightstown Fire Department, and HFAS, as well as a touch-a-truck featuring their emergency response vehicles. Additionally, therapy dog teams from Tri-State K-9 Crisis Response Team will be onsite as another type of helper that provides comfort and emotional support when it’s needed most.

“The addition of this AED equipment in Association Park represents another important step in enhancing public safety in Hightstown. We extend our sincere appreciation to The Aliver Foundation for donating this lifesaving equipment,” said Sneah Sukhadia, Captain, Squad 141 Hightstown First Aid Squad. 

The Aliver Foundation raises awareness and funds to place outdoor AED equipment in recreation spaces while also providing crucial resources and educational opportunities to individuals and communities. Its goal is simple: to save lives and help hearts by increasing the number of highly visible, bright yellow, all-weather, climate-controlled AED equipment bundles in outdoor recreation spaces; educating about cardiac arrest, CPR, AED usage, and the difference between sudden cardiac arrest and heart attacks; and offering resources and support to sudden cardiac arrest survivors and their loved ones.

“The story behind The Aliver Foundation is incredibly powerful. After Jill A. Pall’s own life was saved following sudden cardiac arrest in a park, she turned that experience into a mission to place life-saving outdoor AED equipment in public spaces for others,” said Hightstown Mayor Susan Bluth. “That is something truly special, and Hightstown is grateful to The Aliver Foundation and the Hightstown First Aid Squad for helping bring this important safety resource to Association Park,” she added.

Founded in January 2024, The Aliver Foundation has helped place nearly 160 outdoor AED equipment bundles in public recreation spaces and is currently working with community partners in more than ten states. More than 100 of those outdoor AED equipment bundles are located in New Jersey. Each outdoor AED equipment bundle The Aliver Foundation places costs $2,500 and consists of a CE TEK 4000 outdoor AED enclosure and Stryker AED. Once funding is secured, the Foundation identifies a new community, works with its First Responder Committee to identify an appropriate public recreation space, and engages with the municipality to facilitate the donation.
