The afternoon begins at 2 pm with an artist talk by Casey Schachner, The Bascom's 2025–2026 Winter Resident Artist, who will discuss the process and ideas behind her sculptural work in Ships We Keep, on view in the Thompson Gallery. At 3 pm, the reception opens across campus, a chance to meet the students and studio program faculty featured in "Emergence: A Survey of Southeastern Studio Programs", the Bascom instructors whose work fills Joel Gallery, and the young artists from the Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau whose drawings fill the Education Gallery through June 6.

Free and open to all. Light refreshments served. We hope to see you Saturday.
