ROAD TRIP – SLAC OPEN CALL FOR ART
Did everyone have a good summer? Maybe some of you went on a road trip!
Maybe you didn’t…but hey, there’s still time for one! We’ve got a new assignment for you. 😊
Grab your keys, turn up the music, and let your creativity go for a ride—our next art show at Sip Coffee House in Highland is all about Road Trips. 🌲
Think long stretches of highway, roadside diners, weird little detours, bike rides, gas station snacks, beautiful roadside attractions…strange and unusual roadside attractions, friends, family, summer travel, maps, memories, and moments in between. 🚗 📸
Whether it’s a real trip you took or a metaphorical journey of your own, we want to see your take on the theme. Show us where the road leads you! 🗺️

NO submission or commission fees!
Size Limit: No larger than 39 inches
Sculpture: Must be securely mountable on the wall
Framing: All pieces MUST be properly framed and wired (NO sawtooth hangers).
We will not hang pieces that aren’t ready to go. No exceptions.

2815 Jewett Ave, Highland, IN
(If you can’t make that time, please contact a SLAC admin PRIOR to drop-off or ASAP to make arrangements.)
—Please sign in your pieces on the provided sheet when dropping them off.
—Do not leave them unattended or with coffee shop staff without letting an admin know or making prior arrangements, as they deal with a lot of other outside art and artists that are not involved with the show.
—As always, attach a tag to the back of your piece with your name, title, and price (or NFS).
📦 Shipping?
Submit your form and email images by midnight on Thursday, November 13th to allow time for coordination and shipping.
You must let us know clearly in your email submission if you need to ship. You are responsible for all shipping costs, insurance, and return labels.
✨INFORMAL FORMAL RECEPTION:
Black Friday, November 28th, 2025 at 7 PM
Start your weekend basking in local art, coffee, and community. Road trip attire is encouraged, but I don’t know what that looks like, so I guess dress comfy or like a tourist and bring your camera!
