Intro to Sculpture with Nick LaRocca

Ease into your day with a hands-on Intro to Sculpture class! Whether you’re brand new to clay or an experienced artist, this relaxed morning session is the perfect way to unwind, explore, and create.

Learn the fundamentals of ceramic sculpture in this 6-week class, focusing on technique and personal expression. You’ll learn core handbuilding methods like coil building, additive and reductive sculpting, and use these skills to create two smaller studies and a final expressive figure — whether that’s a person, animal, or something entirely your own. The class wraps with an optional critique after final firings, offering space to reflect and celebrate your work.
