Ever wonder what it takes to keep our horse trails safe, enjoyable, and ride-ready? 🐎🌲 While our local DNR partners are fantastic supporters, the heart of trail maintenance is our dedicated volunteers. Every trimmed branch and cleared path helps create a better riding experience for our horses and riders alike.
Join us Saturday, April 18th at the Highland Rec Staging Area as we come together to care for the trails we love!
What to expect:
We’ll meet at 10:00am and start the day with delicious donuts, great conversation, and plenty of HTRA camaraderie. Volunteers will be assigned sections of the trail system, then enjoy a beautiful, scenic walk while chatting with fellow riders and doing some light trimming to keep the trails clear and safe for horseback riding.
What to bring:
Aside from your wonderful self, please bring loppers, pruners, shears, or any handheld branch trimmers you have. No tools? No worries — we’ll have extras available. Gloves and bug spray are highly recommended (your hands — and ankles — will thank you!).
Thank you for being such an amazing equestrian community. You make a real difference for our horses and fellow riders! 🐎💚
