Toni from Easely Does It and Rebecca from Jack & Alice Crafts invite you to a joyful, calming creative retreat inspired by daffodils, soft blues, and the promise of spring — combining painting, needle-felting, and mindful making in their latest Paint & Poke Day.

Set within the historic and atmospheric Hughenden Estate, this relaxed creative day is your chance to slow down, connect, and celebrate early spring through colour, texture, and gentle creativity.

? Morning – Spring in Blue Painting Workshop
Begin your day immersed in colour as you paint a jug of daffodils in acrylics on a 40 × 30 cm canvas — a classic still-life with a fresh, contemporary feel.

Guided step-by-step by Toni from Easely Does It, you’ll explore composition, colour mixing, and loose, expressive brushwork. Expect cheerful yellows, layered blues, soft greens, and plenty of painterly freedom as your daffodils come to life.
Calm, uplifting, and accessible for all — this session is all about enjoying the process as much as the finished piece. ??

? Lunch Break

Take a break and treat yourself to something delicious from the Hughenden Café (not included).
Enjoy a gentle stroll through the grounds or simply relax and soak in the beauty of this historic National Trust estate.

? Afternoon – Felted Daffodils Wool Keepsake

In the afternoon, slow things down even further with needle-felting led by Rebecca from Jack & Alice Crafts.
Using soft wool fibres in sunny yellows, creamy whites, and fresh spring greens, you’ll create a textured daffodil-inspired keepsake. Choose from a framed felted picture, a decorative hanging, or a small tactile artwork celebrating these much-loved flowers.

This mindful, hands-on session is wonderfully soothing and perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike.
