Bio: Bobby grew up in the 70’s listening to the popular bands like most teenagers. He enjoyed many different
kinds of music but especially enjoyed time in his room singing along to the sounds of Elvis.
Although he enjoyed singing, it was not until he was a young man in his early 20’s that he made the
decision to TRY OUT at a well-known theatre in the Kansas City area. Bobby asked the management of
the KC Opry for the opportunity to audition. after singing an Elvis song, he was asked to sing another.
The session went well and he began performing on a monthly basis, singing both Oldie’s 50’s and 60’s music.
As his popularity GREW, he was asked to perform on a more regular basis, often AS the opening act
for Ronnie McDowell, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn.
While visiting in Louisiana in 1985 he was given the honor of appearing on the Louisiana Hayride,
a show broadcast live on the radio that had featured many well-known country artists.
In 1986 Bobby branched out performing for other local shows and venues playing not only Oldie’s, but also Country music.
After taking a few years off from the music business, Bobby moved to Nashville for most of the 90’s and
worked on writing and performing as a solo artist. He appeared at both the “Nashville Palace” and “Live at Libby’s”.
Both places are well known in the Nashville area.
WHEN Bobby returned to his hometown, he once again brought his talents to country music fans in the
Kansas City area. Performing with the band, Texas Tattoo, they provided the audience with a variety of
music, including classic and new country as well as ’50s and 60s rock ’n’ roll with a twist of Mississippi
blues. They entertained at sporting events and city festivals throughout the Kansas City area.
