LETS WALK!

Who? All members of LAF. IF YOU HAVEN’T JOINED US YET, come and walk with us and use this time to check us out!

WHEN? Wednesday, June 4th at 10 am and every Wednesday this summer hereafter!

WHERE? North Higgins Lake State Park. Go toward the boat launch but turn right to large overflow parking area instead of going toward launch area.

WHAT? We are going to walk. Pace will be about 19-22 minutes per mile. This is not a fast paced walk, however as we walk more the pace (should) get faster. However, the group will set the pace.

WHY? Because you can! And we are an awesome group of women just looking to make some friends and get some walking in!

Bring your own water bottle, wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes and plan on spending 1+ hour with your (new) friends. The route is friendly and on mostly paved walkway. We will walk along the waterfront, (this part is on gravel/sand) down into the campground area, then out to the biking paths, back to the entrance of the park and then back to our vehicles. How far and how long you walk is up to you, as there are several points to break away and head back to your car if you want or need to.
