Film Screening: SENTIMENTAL VALUE

The Footcandle Film Society is hosting screenings of the film SENTIMENTAL VALUE on Wednesday Jan. 7 & Thursday, Jan. 8, 7:00pm each night, at the Carolina Theater in Downtown Hickory.

This film screening is free to all Footcandle Film Society members; additional tickets will be sold at the box office for $5.00 each.

About the film: Sisters Nora and Agnes reunite with their estranged father, Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård), a once-renowned director who offers Nora (Renate Reinsve) a role in what he hopes will be his comeback film. Nora turns it down, but soon discovers he's given the part to an eager young Hollywood star (Elle Fanning). The two siblings must now navigate a complicated relationship with Gustav while dealing with an American actress dropped right into the middle of their complex family dynamics.

Languages: Norwegian and English • Subtitled

Rated R for some language including a sexual reference, and brief nudity. Running time is 2 hours 13 minutes.
