Bring your own item to paint – a shirt, jacket, jeans, shorts, capris, dress, skirt, purse, apron, or
canvas. We’ll supply practice squares of denim or sheeting, stencils, paint medium, acrylic &
metallic paints, embroidery hoops, and guidance on every step - plus a professional artist to”fix”
things or offer pointers! Artists are encouraged to wear these pieces at the April DIYStyle Show
– at The Do You, of course!
Tightly woven fabric works best - any color or weight of denim, chambray, canvas (Carhartt,
etc.), sheeting, or twill. Stretch denim or knits such as T-shirts will work, with extra paint medium,
but the more flexible the fabric, the sooner the image will crack.
