🌄 Welcome to the Climb the Mine Hike in Hibbing, Minnesota!
This one-of-a-kind community hike starts at the Greyhound Bus Museum and winds through Historic Old Hibbing, where the roots of our mining town first took hold more than a century ago. From there, hikers will gradually climb to the breathtaking Hull-Rust-Mahoning Mineview, often called the “Grand Canyon of the North.”
The climb is steady, rewarding, and suitable for all ages and abilities. Hike with friends, family, or coworkers while enjoying the journey, celebrating Hibbing’s history, and taking in one of the most incredible views on the Iron Range.
💛 Register before May 8th and receive a FREE event shirt!
This event is also a fundraiser for the Hibbing Tourist & Senior Center, supporting local programs, events, and services that keep our community vibrant and welcoming. Even if you can’t hike, you can donate to support the cause and help us make a difference.
Expect a true Iron Range experience—portions of the trail travel over natural mining terrain, so your shoes may pick up the signature red tint of iron ore. Consider it a badge of honor for completing the climb!
Be part of the very first year of this exciting tradition.
Come for the climb. Stay for the view. Support the community.
