The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six will host an Alternatives Public Meeting for the SR 953/NW 42 Avenue, SR 948/NW 36 Street, and SR 25/US 27/Okeechobee Road (Iron Triangle) PD&E Study.
The public can attend the meeting either in-person or virtually on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The same materials will be displayed and presented both in-person and virtually and will also be posted by November 6, 2025, on the project webpage at www.fdotmiamidade.com/SR953_SR948_and_SR25.html.
The objective of this study is to address operational deficiencies and improve capacity, relieve existing congestion and accommodate projected transportation demand within the Iron Triangle interchange area, specifically as it relates to SR 953/NW 42 Avenue/LeJeune Road, SR 948/NW 36 Street, and SR 25/US 27/Okeechobee Road. This meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn about the purpose and need of this study and how to provide feedback on the alternatives being presented.
