The Bandstand Sessions are a free summer celebration of local music taking place in the beautiful setting of Hexham's Sele Park.
This Sunday 20th July brings the Front Porch Band to the outdoor stage, together with Hoodoo Blues dance taster class and yet more music from Mike Turnbull and the Valient Knights.
Bring a picnic banket, kick out on the grass and enjoy listening, or even dancing, to some great local musicians including;
The Front Porch Band were formed to play for dancers, and serve up music for blues and swing dance, playing some of the choicest covers from Jimmy Reed and Bobby "Blue" Bland, to Nina Simone and Bill Withers.
Based in Hexham, Hoodoo Blues teach dance classes in styles from the revialist barrelhouse to ballrooming blues, also hosting "Belta Blues" an annual weekend of blues fusion dancing taking place every September here in the North East. Find out more about blues dancing at;
