Stonehaugh Activity Centre
Stonehaugh, Hexham, United Kingdom
This evening is intended as a gentle introduction to all things astronomical. An opportunity to ask those big far reaching questions that have always puzzled you.
You’ll enjoy a specialist talk all about the life cycle of stars.
Birth Life and Death. Not words you might associate with a star.
But everything has a beginning a middle and an end, even stars.
You’ll be given the opportunity to get hands on with some real pieces of space rock and we can even discuss distant galaxies and the far off reaches of the universe.
Be warned, you’ll probably go home with more questions than you arrived with.
If the skies are clear we will observe using our wide aperture telescopes, such things as the planets, nebula, star clusters and more.
Please be aware our events are an astronomical presentation with observing if weather permits.
Unfortunately we cannot control the weather, but our events go ahead regardless.
When observing is possible, temperatures can be severe and the ground underfoot can be soft and wet, to ensure your own comfort, please wear suitable attire.
Also check out other Nonprofit events in Hexham.
