- **Event Description**: Starting at the Costons Lane entrance to Perivale Park we will explore some of the parkland and then go into the streets of houses, shops and places of worship.

A relaxed, welcoming walk to explore the Central area of Greenford, meet others, and reflect on what makes a place feel clean and pleasant to live in.

We walk into the first part of Perivale Park before taking to the streets to the Greenford Road. We will then head back to the main crossroads talking about the changes as we go (the Tesco store that was once a cinema etc) and then visiting two places of worship before finding somewhere to have our optional chill and chat at the end of the walk.

A walk with a purpose

This walk is part of the Your Voice Your Town project, funded by Ealing Council, supporting a shared goal where Greenford residents selected clean and pleasant as their top priority for change.

As we walk, we’ll gently reflect on questions such as:

what do we understand by 'clean and pleasant'?
what features of the area we are walking in would support this?
where might things be improved?
There's no pressure to speak - you’re welcome to simply listen, observe and enjoy the walk.

What makes these walks different
Since 2016, Talking and Exploring has been bringing people together through walks that focus on both place and people.

For this project, we also:

welcome local residents, newcomers, and visitors alike
reach out to those who may feel less confident, isolated or new to the area
connect with local businesses, community and faith groups where possible
create space for conversation, shared experience and new connections
After the walk
We’ll finish with an optional café stop — a chance to rest, chat and continue the conversation in a relaxed setting.

You’ll also be invited to share your thoughts afterwards. Your feedback helps build a better understanding of how people experience Ealing and contributes to wider community insight.

This walk is free to attend, thanks to funding from Ealing Council.

Places are limited, so please book in advance.

If you can no longer attend, do cancel your ticket so someone else can take part.

Meeting point: Outside Coston's Nature Reserve gate in Ruislip Road
Duration: approx. 2 hours
Mostly outdoors, including green spaces
Gentle pace with regular stops
