- **Event Description**: Sew your own Bojagi-style patchwork hanging using reclaimed sheer fabrics and linen offcutsAbout this EventWe create a future where nothing gets wasted — and this workshop is a good example of what that can look like: turning leftover couture sheer fabric, linen and cotton fabric into something you'll want to hang in your window forever.Our founder Marina learned bojagi (traditional Korean patchwork) during a trip to South Korea, and it's stayed with her as a great way to reuse sheer offcuts.There's something quietly special about the technique — simple flat seams that join fabric edge to edge, with no fraying and no raw edges left behind.When you hold the finished piece up to the light, the sheer layers glow like stained glass.In this full-day workshop, you'll learn the traditional flat-seam method and use it to build your own patchwork hanging or lightweight curtain, using a mix of rescued linen offcuts and sheer fabric samples. You'll choose your own colours and shapes, so the piece you make will carry your own eye for design, not a set template.This session is beginner-friendly, and it's also a good fit if you've sewn before and want to slow down and try something new. We'll keep the group small, so there's plenty of one-to-one time and no rush.By the end of the day, you'll:Feel more confident sewing with delicate, sheer fabricsKnow how to sew a proper flat seam, the traditional bojagi wayHave explored colour, transparency and simple patchwork layoutsKnow how to finish your piece with a channel and hanging poleHave a finished small hanging to take home (or a larger piece to keep working on, if you'd rather take your time)What's provided:A curated selection of reclaimed sheer fabric samples will be available to choose from.
