This hands-on CPD workshop explores how puppets can be used in safe, ethical and effective ways. You’ll try simple, high-impact techniques to help clients express feelings, explore different perspectives and find new language for their experiences within a trauma-informed, choice-led approach.

You’ll come away able to:
•	Introduce puppets with clarity, consent and choice
•	Use puppets to build rapport and support emotional expression
•	Encourage storytelling, externalising and perspective-taking
•	Explore boundaries, protection and power through structured activities
•	Adapt ideas for different ages, neurodiversity and cultural contexts

Who it’s for
Ideal for counsellors, psychotherapists, play therapists, psychologists, social workers and trainees who want to use puppets with confidence in their work with children, young people, adults or families.

What to bring
If you have one or two hand puppets, please feel free to bring them along. A small selection will be available on the day.
