Good Shepherd Health Care System invites patients, staff, and the communities of Eastern Oregon to attend the 8th Annual Community Meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Eastern Oregon Trade & Event Center (EOTEC) located at 1705 E Airport Rd in Hermiston. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments are provided.
“We are very excited to welcome our communities to Good Shepherd Health Care System’s Annual Community Meeting,” said GSHCS President & CEO Art Mathisen. “This event is a great opportunity to access a wealth of health information and resources, meet our team, and learn about the exciting advances happening at Good Shepherd positively impacting our region.”
Attendees will learn about new GSHCS services, providers, and accomplishments, while enjoying many opportunities to win prizes. The first 200 attendees will receive a 30-ounce Stanley Tumbler, and the next 100 attendees will receive a Stadium Seat, with two lucky attendees receiving a YETI Tundra 45 Cooler. Those that visit the various health booths at the event will be entered to win prizes including five $500 gift certificates to local businesses and two iPad Pros. Other prizes include a treadmill, household gadgets, electronics and more.
The event kicks off with a Health Booth Fair at 4:00 p.m. featuring 25+ booths representing Good Shepherd services including Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Audiology, Cardiology, Psychiatry, Primary Care, Orthopedics, Urology, General Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Women’s Center, Urgent Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Home Medical Equipment and more. Free flu shots are available for those six months and older with high doses available for those 65 and older. Other free health screenings at the event include blood pressure and BMI checks, as well as A1C and lipid panels.
The Community Meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. with an introduction from GSHCS Board of Trustees Chair Jon Lorence and a message from Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation President Amanda Carnine highlighting the Foundation’s recent community grants and scholarships. GSHCS President & CEO Art Mathisen is the final speaker providing a hospital update and presentation of the GSHCS Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, a period marked with exceptional growth and expansion of services for the health care system.
A highlight of the event is the meet-and-greet opportunity with some of GSHCS’s newest physicians & providers including Pulmonologist Dr. Manmohan Biring, Neurologist Dr. Mantinderpreet Singh, Urologist Dr. Matthew Ercolani, Hematologist & Oncologist Dr. Cannon Milani, Physiatrist Dr. Nathan Camp, Physician Assistant-Certified Marissa Lachaga and Gastroenterologist Dr. Joyce Koh that will all be available to meet at the event.
