Laurette quite literally buries her canvases in the soil, allowing nature to participate in the creation. Fungi, mould, and minerals leave their mark; the earth becomes both collaborator and co-artist. 
Laurette has also curated an exhibition at the Hermanus FynArts gallery. 'Intertwined' is an exciting collaboration between four women artists whose creative practices intersect in unexpected and thought-provoking ways.
