The Ephemeral Nature of Things

This talk by artist Laurette de Jager takes us on a deeply personal and thought-provoking journey through her artistic process, which is as poetic as it is unconventional. Laurette quite literally buries her canvases in the soil, allowing nature to participate in the creation. Fungi, mould, and minerals leave their mark; the earth becomes both collaborator and co-artist.
Laurette has also curated an exhibition at the Hermanus FynArts gallery. 'Intertwined' is an exciting collaboration between four women artists whose creative practices intersect in unexpected and thought-provoking ways.
