- **Event Description**: Join Hereford Chamber Choir and Music Director Simon Harper for an uplifting evening of choral music celebrating the rich and diverse soundscape of 20th Century America. At the centre of the programme is Leonard Bernstein’s magnificent 'Chichester Psalms' for which the choir is joined by an outstanding ensemble of local musicians including Alison Martin (harp), Ewan Murray (organ) and Isaac Scot (percussion).with harp, organ and percussion. The choir also sings Copland’s luminous 'Four Motets', Whitacre's 'Sleep', Lauridsen's 'O Magnum Mysterium', and Thompson's 'Alleluia'. The concert also features Copland’s lyrical 'Four Early Songs' performed by our Music Director Simon Harper (tenor) and pianist Simon Peberdy.
