Community Wildfire Awareness Event in Henniker, NH – October 28, 2025
The Town of Henniker invites all to attend a Wildfire Awareness and Fire Risk Reduction Event on Tuesday, October 28th starting at 6:00 PM at the Henniker Community Center. This is an all age, family-friendly event.
Explore interactive exhibits from 6:00 to 6:30 PM, followed by presentations at 6:30 PM and a dynamic Q&A session.
As wildfire risks continue to grow across New England, this community-focused event aims to provide essential information and practical guidance on how to reduce wildfire hazards in and around homes and neighborhoods. Experts will be on hand to answer questions and share strategies for protecting property and enhancing community resilience.
Key topics will include:
Creating Defensible Space: Learn how to manage vegetation and landscaping to slow or stop the spread of wildfire.
Reducing Structural Ignitability: Discover ways to make homes and buildings less vulnerable to embers and flames.
Community Preparedness: Understand the role of neighborhoods in wildfire prevention and response.
