We’re thrilled to announce that The Great School Run of Henley is back for it’s fifth year, hooray! It’s not a school run of the ordinary kind, not the quick dash from home to the classroom. It’s not just a competition either. The Great School Run is a celebration of community spirit and the joy of running.

Hosted by Education Henley, the event idea came together in a collaboration between Rupert House School and Stonor Park with the vision to create an inclusive sports event that would bring the local school and nursery community together and keep children and adults active.

Come together and join us on Sunday 17th May 2026 for a great morning of cross-country races in the beautiful setting of Stonor Park. All children of local schools and nurseries (and their parents) are warmly invited to run age appropriate distances in their year groups.

From the tiniest sprinters in the nursery to the seasoned runners in Year 11, we believe that running is for everyone, and that it’s a great way to have fun and inspire a love for fitness.

So if you grown-ups are up for it, we would love you to join the races and be a role model for our children.

This year, as well as enjoying the day, we hope to raise awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and to support Ben, a very special and much loved local 12-year-old boy in our community who lives with the condition. Races are free to enter, but we suggest a voluntary donation of £2 per runner to the charity Ben vs Duchenne.
