- **Event Description**: Aliquando Chamber Choir’s concert on Saturday 8 November is in aid of Helen & Douglas House and will be a celebration of all things melodious. The music has been especially chosen to showcase some of the most glorious melodies to be found through the ages, from Renaissance through to Baroque with Sweelinck, Bach and Charpentier. In opera the famous duets from Delibes' Lakme & Bizet's Les pêcheurs de perles (the Pearl Fishers) and more contemporary but no less melodious, songs by Elgar, Eric Whitacre, Karl Jenkins and Matthew Coleridge (an exciting new voice in British Choral Music). We will be joined by our wonderful soloists Soprano - Meryl Davies, Mezzo Soprano - Rosemary Clifford, Tenor - Alex Haigh and Bass Baritone - Daniel Tate with Orchestra, led by Amanda Sadler, keyboard Ian Westly and conductor Anne Evans.
The concept takes place at St Mary’s Church, Henley at 7pm. Tickets are £25 for reserved seating and £20 unreserved, available from 01491 578238 or from our website Aliquando.co.uk.
