The hikes will increase in mileage and elevation throughout the summer. Come to one hike or join us for all! We welcome all fitness levels. Our goal is to enjoy the journey.This hike features Wintergreen Falls in DuPont State Recrational Forest. We'll hike for a little bit then stop for a guided meditation. Then we'll continue our hike to the waterfall for some mindful moments, journaling - and a swim if you like - before returning to the trailhead.This out-and-back trail is rated as beginner, 3.2 miles round trip with 252 feet of elevation change. NOTE: there are a couple inclines/declines throughout this trail. If you suffer from any pain, injuries, or illness, please consult with your physician and listen to your body to decide if you should join this hike. Learn more about the trail here. The trailhead is approximately one hour from Asheville, NC; one hour and 18 minutes from Greenville, SC. Parking is limited. We'll begin our hike promptly at 9am. Please be punctual and give yourself extra time to navigate the mountain roads. The trailhead parking lot fills up quickly, especially on weekends, so arrive early to guarantee your spot, use the restrooms, and check in.Location/Directions: Guion Farm Parking Area, 3045 Sky Valley Road, Hendersonville, NC 28739Difficulty level/Distance: 3.2 miles on a beginner, out-and-back trail (252 feet of elevation gain).Restroom Facilities: There are restrooms at the parking area, but none on the trail.What you will need for this hike:Plenty of water to drink (we recommend at least 1 liter)Snacks and any medications needed (i.e. EpiPen if you are allergic to bees)Comfortable hiking shoes/boots or sneakers with good tractionComfortable moisture wicking clothing (i.e. workout clothes) and layersBathing suit, towel and water shoes if you would like to swimA towel or cushion to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the groundTrekking poles or any other items that would make your hike more comfortableYour journal and something to write withA daypack/backpack to carry all your itemsPlease review the liability waiver and be prepared to acknowledge and accept at sign in for your event.*If you can't make it, please CANCEL your registration so your ticket can be released.
