The U.S. has over 50 clubs, in 24 states, who play and compete regularly.This limited-contact sport typically involves 2 teams of 6, competing to move a 3 pound puck across the bottom of a pool into the opposing team's goal. The puck is designed to avoid damaging the pool bottom and walls. The goals are 3m (10ft) wide and sit at both ends of the pool.Wearing snorkeling gear, players submerge briefly to move the puck or support their team. The sport focuses on pre-determined strategy & collaboration since talking underwater is pretty difficult!Each player wears a water polo cap, snorkel, mask, glove, and fins. Gear is provided if you do not have your own!Not only does Underwater Hockey help keep your heart and lungs healthy, but it improves hand-eye coordination, athleticism, endurance, stamina, and flexibility.
