- **Event Description**: Join us for a paddle along the Bulimba Creek, whilst giving her a clean.About this EventThe Bulimba Creek Paddle Against Plastic is on again. Thanks to funding from the legends at Bulimba Creek Catchment Co-ordinating Committee throught the Qld Govt DESI Litter and Marine Debris Clean Up grant, we are heading to Aquarium Ave Boat Ramp. This part of the creek has a lot of debris washed in from surrounding streets and due to the area flooding it is up on the banks, as well as stuck in the trees that have fallen in the river.You need to book a ticket even if you bring your own. You can rent one of our kayaks for a small fee or BYO craft.This is a child friendly event and we encourage you to bring the family along to help them understand that keeping our waterways clean is essential for the wellbeing of marine life. Last year we even saw small turtles in the river!!!Meet at the end of Aquarium Ave in Hemmant. We'll provide all the cleaning tools however please wear appropriate clothing for long grass. Solid shoes is a great idea, ones that can get wet are perfect.
