60 Minute Science: Casting & Painting

Make your own T. rex tooth! Join Western Science Center Laboratory Manager Leya Collins in this 60 Minute Science to learn how to make fossil replicas. In this hour you will have a hands on opportunity to learn about mold making and resin use to cast a T. rex tooth and paint it like a pro! This lesson also includes safety procedures and an overview of the museum’s 3D printing, sanding, and painting process. Learn all of the museum’s replica secrets!

Ages 5 and older.
Under 18 year must be accompanied by a registered and paid adult.
Ages 5-9 will need their adult to pour resin.
Minim 4 participants, maximum 10.
