Ready for a night of beautiful misery? Join us for an evening of Sad Ballads & Crazy Salads!
For years, it's been a running joke that musician Rick Williams (Boiler House quartet) and actor Elaine Claxton (TVsBlack Books) sing about nothing but drownings, murder, unrequited love, and grinding poverty—you know, all the fun stuff. They've been making beautiful, tragic music together for nearly two decades at various music sessions in Cornwall. Now, they've decided to bring that delightful dose of despair to the stage.

The "Sad Ballads" part is self-explanatory, but what of the "Crazy Salads"? That's a quote from a poem by Yeats, a witty nod to the "odd choices" women sometimes make. Rick and Elaine will weave together a wonderful collection of mainly miserable songs with readings by, or about, women who've made some truly out-of-the-ordinary choices—some wiser than others!

So, come along for what promises to be an entertaining night of miserable music and (not so) wise words
