BTV-3 Vaccination Broach Day

‼️‼️Bluetongue in Cornwall ‼️‼️

There have now been several confirmed positive cases of BTV-3 here in Cornwall following reports of suspicious clinical signs….

5 Sept 25: one sheep 🐑
10 Sept 25: one steer and one 5 month old calf 🐂🐂
11 Sept 25: one ewe and two sheep 🐑🐑🐑

Vaccination is available AFTER discussing requirements with a vet.

When vaccinating with Bultavo-3:
Cattle require 2 x 1ml doses, 3 weeks apart
Sheep require a single 1ml dose

With these new confirmed cases in mind, we are holding additional ‘Broach Days’ for Bultavo-3, with the next being THIS WEDS 17th SEPTEMBER.
This is available for either a farm visit, or collection of the doses of vaccine required from the office.
