Veritas Forum Helsinki Explores the Meaning of Truth as AI Evolves 

“Truth in the Midst of AI” will be held on Wednesday, April 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Porthania, University of Helsinki, Auditorium PIII, Yliopistonkatu 3. 

The speaker for the event is Greg Downes, who has served as Dean of the Wesley Center at Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford. 

In his talk, Downes will discuss how truth can be understood and evaluated in the age of artificial intelligence. The event will explore, among other things, how rapidly evolving technology affects our perceptions of knowledge, reliability, and reality. Come listen and bring your questions! 

The event is part of the “Come and See” student event, and free food will be served at 5:00 PM.

Helsingissä pohditaan totuuden merkitystä tekoälyn kehittyessä 

“Truth in the Midst of AI” järjestetään keskiviikkona 15.4. klo 18-20 Helsingin yliopiston Porthaniassa, sali PIII, Yliopistonkatu 3. 

Tilaisuuden puhujana toimii Greg Downes, joka on toiminut dekaanina Wycliffe Hallin Wesley Centerissä Oxfordin yliopistossa. Downes käsittelee puheenvuorossaan, miten totuutta voidaan ymmärtää ja arvioida tekoälyn aikakaudella. 

Tapahtumassa tarkastellaan muun muassa sitä, miten nopeasti kehittyvä teknologia vaikuttaa käsityksiimme tiedosta, luotettavuudesta ja todellisuudesta. Tervetuloa kuuntelemaan tai kysymyksesi kanssa! 

Tapahtuma on osa “Come and see” -opiskelijatapahtumaa, ja osallistujille tarjotaan ilmaista ruokaa klo 17 alkaen.

I Helsingfors utforskas vikten av sanning i takt med att AI utvecklas 

”Truth in the Midst of AI” hålls onsdagen den 15 april kl. 18.00–20.00 på Porthania, Helsingfors universitet, aud PIII, Universitetsgatan 3. 

Talare vid evenemanget är Greg Downes, som har varit dekan för Wesley Center vid Wycliffe Hall, Oxfords universitet. 

I sitt föredrag kommer Downes att diskutera hur sanning kan förstås och utvärderas i artificiell intelligensens tidsålder. 

Evenemanget kommer bland annat att utforska hur den snabbt utvecklande tekniken påverkar vår uppfattning om kunskap, tillförlitlighet och verklighet. Kom och lyssna och ta med dina frågor!
