Jouluisin valo kohtaa pimeyden. Tänä vuonna Lempikuoron joulukonsertissa syttyvät kynttilät, jotka hohkaavat kaukaista valoa. Tuttujen joululaulujen, kuten 'Jouluyö, juhlayö' ja 'Hiljainen joululaulu', lisäksi kuulemme musiikkia muun muassa säveltäjiltä Eric Whitacre, Amy Beach ja Francis Poulenc. Osa konsertin tuotoista ohjataan Syöpäsäätiölle. 🕯️
Konsertin kesto n. 1h. Alennuslippuun ovat oikeutettuja opiskelijat, eläkeläiset, työttömät sekä alle 18-vuotiaat. Alle 15-vuotiailla lapsilla vapaa pääsy. Konsertin grafiikka Xiaoyu Chen.
Toinen Lempikuoron joulukonserteista järjestetään Töölön kirkossa lauantaina 20.12. klo 16.

𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗞𝗨𝗢𝗥𝗢 - Vuonna 2019 perustettu Lempikuoro kilpaili syksyllä 2025 International Baltic Sea Choir Competitionin finaalissa. Kuoro on palkittu Tampereen Sävel -kuorokatselmuksessa kultaleimoin vuonna 2025 sekä 2023. Kuoroa johtaa Sibelius-Akatemian kuoronjohdon koulutusohjelmasta valmistunut Julia Lainema. Lainema johtaa myös Ahjo Ensembleä ja Kamarikuoro Näsiä.

At Christmas, light meets darkness. This year, Lempikuoro’s Christmas concert lights candles that glow with a distant light. Alongside beloved Christmas songs, such as 'Silent Night' and 'Hiljainen joululaulu', the program features music by composers including Eric Whitacre, Amy Beach and Francis Poulenc. Part of the concert proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Foundation. 🕯️
Concert duration c. 1 hour. Students, pensioners, unemployed persons, and persons under 18 years of age are eligible for discounted tickets. Free admission for children under 15 years of age. Concert graphics by Xiaoyu Chen.
The second Lempikuoro Christmas concert will take place at Töölö Church on Saturday, December 20, at 4:00 PM.

𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗞𝗨𝗢𝗥𝗢 – Founded in 2019, Lempikuoro competed in the finals of the International Baltic Sea Choir Competition in the fall of 2025. The choir is conducted by Julia Lainema, a graduate of the Sibelius Academy's choir conducting program. Lainema also conducts the Ahjo Ensemble and the Kamarikuoro Näsi chamber choir.
