You’ll probably recognise the name Ramlösa from the famous mineral water sold throughout Sweden. The source of the water is in Ramlösa Brunnspark, which lies just to the south of Helsingborg. 

The park has a fascinating history: in the early 1700s, Johan Jacob Döbelius discovered the health benefits of the iron-rich water and inaugurated a spa park. A second, alkaline spring was found at the end of the 19th century. Ramlösa Brunnspark became a well-known health resort, where people would come to take the waters, bathe in the sea, and stay in the park’s hotel, villas, or nearby accommodation. 

During the Second World War and the Hungarian Uprising, the park had an important role as a reception point for refugees.

The park’s buildings now include residential homes and the former hotel and spa facilities. It contains both formal and park-like gardens, a pond, a pavilion, a playground, sculptures, and a cafe in summer. It’s also a popular location for Valborg and Midsummer celebrations! The whole park has been a listed building since 1973.

Meeting point: The park gates next to Helsingborg Ramlösa Brunn bus stop (opposite the entrance to Rosenschöldsgatan). The number 9 bus goes every 15 minutes from Helsingborg C on Saturdays and takes 18 minutes.
