“Tobacco-related litter is the number one contributor to litter worldwide, which is not commonly talked about,” says Carin McClain, Tobacco Prevention Specialist at Lewis and Clark Public Health.

“Cigarette butts are the number one most littered item globally and vape filters are the largest human caused pollutant, even outranking plastic bags and straws,” McClain says.

Earth Day unites people worldwide in efforts raise environmental awareness, and inspire meaningful action against climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. We hope you will bring your family and join us for this special celebration.
