Mental Health First Aid can be given to a person who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional treatment is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan.
This course teaches members of the general public how to recognise the symptoms, where and how to get help and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective.
Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
$275 full fee$175 concession fee for holders of a current Health Care card (The purchaser of a concession ticket must be the Health Care card holder, and the card must be produced at the course)
Course fees include all course materials and refreshments.
Our venue has cafes close by, and Burgundy Street, with many eateries is just a short walk away. Participants can also BYO lunch, as our training room has a kitchen attached, with a fridge and microwave.

Refunds, Transfers and Cancellations:
In the event of cancellation by Mind Australia Ltd: Mind Australia Ltd reserves the right to cancel, postpone or re-schedule courses due to low enrolments or unforeseen circumstances. In these circumstances, a refund will be provided within 30 working days. Mind Australia is not responsible for accommodation, flights or other costs associated with attending the course in the event of such a cancellation.
In the event of cancellation by the Customer: Anytime up to 7 days prior to the start date of the course you can cancel your enrolment and receive a full refund, or request a transfer to another scheduled session of the same course. For example, if the course starts on 8th of the month, you have until 1st of the month to be eligible for a full refund or transfer to another scheduled session.
Requests for cancellation, or transfer to another scheduled session, made less than 7 days prior to the start date of the session will be declined.
MHFA Accreditation Guidelines:
Participants cannot miss more than one hour of the course.
If only day one is attended, participants need to complete the course within 3 months of first date. (further course fees will apply) After 3 months, the full course will need to be completed.
