This is a 3-day, 2-night camping trip.Transportation Your own private/personal vehicle. Any vehicle vehicle will work! (expect to drive on "washboard" but flat dirt roads). About a 2 hr drive from SLC.DifficultyUp to 4/10, variable hiking conditions. No especially challenging or long hikes though we will be on our feet walking off trail in dense vegetation and on uneven terrain most of the day. We will complete several survey sites per day, most of which are close to the road.Difficulty rating 1-10:1 - easy, little elevation gain, on-trail, short distance hiking10 - hard, significant elevation gain, uneven terrain, off-trail, dense vegetation, long distance hikingWhat to pack/wearPlease bring a packed lunch for the first day (i.e. sandwich/Tupperware meal that will easily fit in your backpack and can eat mid-day when we take a break during survey)Comfortable hiking and camp clothes you don't mind getting wet/dirty. Rain jacket (rain pants if you have them), extra socks (keep 1-2 pairs in your daypack everyday), warm layers for night that you can shed during the way, and sun protection (hat, glasses). Lightweight hiking pants/work pants recommended instead of shorts. We will be walking, crouching, & squatting in dense vegetation (willows). Some prefer to wear lightweight long sleeves to protect them from getting scratched by vegetation.
