Earthy Sundays invites you to kindle a deeper connection with nature, yourself, and others through intentional movement, a mindful hike, a forest bathing meditation, and a sauna/ cold plunge experience. It's a grounded, wholesome, and quite literally, down-to-earth day.Please note: This is a women-only event (trans & non-binary inclusive) due to the nature of the sauna experience and to create a comfortable space for all attendees.Here's the flow:Timings are approx.11:00-12:00: Meditation + Yoga at Calderdale Yoga CentreA 12-minute walk from the train station. Free parking is available at the station, but spaces fill up fast, so I recommend getting the train if you can.This will be a gentle nature-based meditation, followed by an all-levels Vinyasa flow to get us warmed up and ready for a gorgeous, earthy day together.There'll be a chance to use the facilities/ get changed here, but please bear in mind we will not be returning to the studio.12:15–14:15: Riverside work, picnic stop, and forest bathing meditationWe’ll head off on a scenic, moderate-level hike by the river and through the trees - it's a magical fairytale gem of a spot, trust me!I'll share nature-connection prompts to reflect on as we walk, and we'll stop for a picnic and then for a short forest bathing meditation.There's a steep incline at the start, so be prepared for a bit of fire in the thighs! You'll also need shoes with a good grip for the gorgeous mossy and muddy earth.(final route and details will be shared via WhatsApp nearer the time).14:30–15:30 — Sauna + Cold Plunge at Iglu SaunaWe'll arrive at Iglu Sauna in their peaceful and secluded spot by New Delights Inn, in the hills of Hebden Bridge, for an authentic Nordic-style wood-fired sauna and cold plunge experience.With the more active parts of the day behind us, we can now take a moment to reflect, take stock, and let our muscles ease and soften.Then we'll say our goodbyes and part ways, with an aromatherapy gift to take home and remember the day!This event will start in Hebden Bridge and finish at Iglu Sauna (at New Delights Inn). You have a couple of options for getting back:1) There is a bus (aka ‘the sauna shuttle’) that runs directly from the sauna back into Hebden Bridge, with a stop at the Hebden Bridge New Road and the train station.
