We are into our second year of WCS in the south and things are going from strength to strength.
We are Jive Frenzy and have a brand called HYBRID which has been offering WCS monthly workshops and freestyles for the last three years. We launched GRAVITY West Coast Swing Classes January 2025 which consists of twice a month class night with a rotation of top class teachers.
Paul Warden has been at the forefront of these workshops and will run monthly classes alongside other teachers. With his wealth of experience and knowledge, along with immense passion, his drive to teach and develop dancers is a huge asset to the dance community in the UK, Europe and rest of the world.
We are passionate about west coast swing and hope to grow the community in the area and support all clubs in the country.
West Coast Swing is a smooth, modern, and versatile partner dance that emphasizes connection, creativity, and musical interpretation. It's danced in a linear slot, allowing for elegant movements and intricate patterns between the leader and follower. Known for its adaptability, West Coast Swing can be danced to a wide variety of music genres, including blues, pop, R&B, funk, and contemporary hits.
You don't need to role balance for classes, but please encourage all roles to attend so we can get an equal spread. You don't need to book in advance but we encourage you to attend regularly to get the rhythm in your body's muscle memory. Flat shoes are advisable.

The classes will run on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month.

Improver + class (must know basic 5 patterns) at 21:00
Fundamentals review in side room 21:00

The price is £10 per session and can be paid by cash or card on the door.
