Steve has been an event director, head judge, competitor and dancer of West Coast Swing for over 16 years now. Steve’s competing highlight was winning the 2015 UK & European WCS jack and Jill champion (Jack and Jill is the improv category of WCS) He is also the resident head judge at numerous high level European WCS events including Warsaw Halloween Swing, Westie Gala, Baltic Swing and recently Bristol Swing Fiesta. Steve undertook extensive teachings from some of the best WCS coaches in the world in America which in turn has developed a teaching philosophy which is centred around combining detailed technique whilst making learning fun and engaging. Please arrive by 17.45 18.00 -18.45 Workshop 1 - All Levels Countering and leverage Learn some cool, fun techniques and patterns focusing on how to leverage your partner safely and securely whilst giving you time and space to add creativity to your dance. 19.00-19.45 Workshop 2 - The Bowing effect Learn the building blocks of this game changing more advanced level wcs technique, which will add dynamism and speed control to your dancing. We will off a Workshop 2 - Fundamentals review If you are not at the level for workshop 2 with Steve Hunt - we will review the fundamentals in the second room and ground in your movement and connection.
