A free night of workshops and concerts for Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass.
Featuring the world of alternative string playing.
2 great workshops and an exciting concert. All free.
7 pm- introduction of the string teachers
7:15 - 7:45 pm - Session 1 - Intro to Irish Fiddling or Jazz for Strings
7:45 - 8:15 pm - Switch to Workshop 2 for Intro to Irish Fiddling or Jazz for Strings
8:20 - 9 - Performance from all 3 string players backed up by a rhythm section
Concert featuring Valerie Rose, Irish fiddler, Jeremy Cohen, Grammy-nominated jazz violinist, and Rebecca Roudman of the world-traveling blues and rock band, Dirty Cello
All string players of high school age and older are welcome to participate. All levels welcome.
It will be held in the CSUEB Music Building (Room 1039) located at E Loop Rd in Hayward.
