Seed Swaps: Sharing & Growing Together
Seed swaps are a fantastic way for gardeners to exchange seeds, share knowledge, and promote biodiversity. Whether you’re an experienced grower or just starting, these events provide a great opportunity to discover unique and locally adapted plant varieties while saving money.
By swapping seeds, gardeners help preserve heritage and heirloom plants that might otherwise be lost. It also encourages sustainable gardening practices, reducing reliance on commercially produced seeds and fostering a resilient, community-based food system.
At a seed swap, participants bring their surplus seeds—whether homegrown or purchased—and exchange them for something new. We also offer gardening advice, information on seed saving, organic growing, and pollinator-friendly planting.
Even if you don’t have seeds to share, you’re welcome to take part. These events are about learning, connecting with fellow gardeners, and spreading the joy of growing your own food and flowers.
Join our local seed swap and be part of a greener, more sustainable future!
