Figurative Sculpture Course,
Working from a life model you will develop an understanding of the fundamental structures and architecture of the human anatomy, which is essential for creating a successful figurative sculpture. You will uncover an understanding of the language of form and texture by exploring how to create a realistic figure at 1/5 life size. From using measuring methods and learning the anatomy of the body and bone structure to defining detail of muscles and skin textures. You will also create a number of maquettes with move- ment and proportions are the main focus. This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate level. The class will be run at Gwinear near Connor Downs, Cornwall. It’s 2 days Friday 13th—Saturday 14th March 10am—4pm 2026. £185 includes working from a life model and all materials, tea, coffee biscuits. It’s a small class in large room to give maximum tuition.
