What is Contact Improvisation!?

Contact Improvisation is an open-ended exploration of the kinaesthetic possibilities of bodies moving through contact. Sometimes wild and athletic, sometimes quiet and meditative, it is a form open to all bodies and enquiring minds. The practice includes rolling, falling, being upside down, following a physical point of contact, supporting and giving weight to a partner. It is a free play with balance, of no set outcome, bringing forth a physical/emotional truth about a shared moment of movement that leaves the participants informed, centred, and enlivened. St Erth session details... 

Contact Improvisation Class and Jam with, space holder and teacher, Shalika. 

Dates: Every 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Tuesday of the month. 

Times: 7pm till 10pm 

Exchange: £10 to £15 per person 

Location: 
The Church Hall (The Old School), The Green Ln, St Erth,. TR27 6HS 

Parking and Access: 
As you face the hall, there is a gate on the right into the church yard. Go through their, then turn left and go in the side door of the building. There is plenty of parking right outside.

☆Wear comfortable clothing and avoid clothing with anything hard on them, eg. zips and buttons.

I will not turn anyone away due to money limitations. You are always welcome to join us in this practice, in exchange for however much you can give. Simply, your presence is enough?

There is a WhatsApp group for the regular CI sessions that I hold space for. I post weekly  reminders that a session is coming up/info updates regarding classes and also it is a space for us to share our gratitude and experience of the sessions/CI in general and to request lift shares or simply to say, hey, i will/won't be there tonight. Let me know if you would like to be in it and I'll send the link.
