Lunch will be served after the tour at Luther Springs Camp and Conference Center nearby. See link to the event announcement below for location details.Young Family Farm is located in southwestern Putnam County and is a powerful example of long-term stewardship, thoughtful planning, and active land management. Cory, along with his family, has built upon decades of work started by his parents — restoring longleaf pine sandhill habitat, improving wildlife diversity, protecting water resources, and using prescribed fire as a cornerstone of management.Topics will include restoration and management of native forest habitats, prescribed fire, and integrating timber and wildlife habitat objectives. We will tour the property on a trailer and do a little bit of walking.
