Festival of French Chamber Music: Harmonies du Soir

Harmonies du Soir features a rich array of French chamber music across five intimate performances from Thursday 27 to Saturday 29 November in the Rosina Auditorium, Abbotsford Convent. The festival opens with modern chamber works before returning to the spirited 18th-century quarrel between Rousseau and Rameau. Day two drifts from Turgenev’s tale of love to Proust’s reflections on memory, and the finale traces a path through Paris, Versailles and Notre-Dame — following the threads of French music across centuries.
