The return route is along a bridleway which passes Blelham Tarn which is a National Nature Reserve.Paths are generally good but there is a short section at the top of Latterbarrow that is rocky and can be slippery when wet. There are also short sections on quiet lanes.Grade 4 walks are generally full day walks that include hilly ground and require a reasonable level of fitness. You might encounter climbs up some steeper sections.
