Learn the foundational skills of hand building and pottery.

In this relaxed and welcoming session, participants will be guided through the process of hand-building two stoneware candlesticks from a high-quality stoneware clay.

You will explore:
🤲 Shaping techniques.
🔍 How to refine your forms.
🎨 Painting and decorating your pieces, making each candlestick entirely your own.

Set within the beautiful surroundings of the Walled Garden School at Hawarden Estate, this workshop offers a chance to slow down, connect with an old craft, and enjoy a mindful creative morning.

Once completed, all pieces will be carefully dried and kiln fired.

The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience alike. All materials and tools are provided.

You do not need any prior skills to attend this class!
