Jerron Paxton - Banjo Workshop

This banjo workshop, supported by Progressive Acoustics, will focus on late 19th and early 20th century banjo music that was written for the modern five-string banjo. This music shaped the influences for music like ragtime and early jazz. We will work on getting the fingers comfortable with what should be new techniques and new chords to most, but which were a standard part of banjo music-making in that era.

Doors open at 3:30 pm. Workshop begins at 4 pm.
